What a week thus far. First we spring forward an hour, then cahsee testing. For some this is a very good time indeed, and for others not so much. Just remember, you have a 99.9% chance of passing, so may the odd be ever in your favor. if you don’t have to take the test congratulations you get to sleep in, partially or very much so especially if you have an open first. Speaking of odds, do you know what movie is coming out soon. The Hunger Games! A book in which everyone kills each other and the last man standing wins. Who knew people could enjoy a book with so much death. Do you know what else has a lot of death? An extinction, and do you know what is extinct? Dinosaurs! Which brings me to one of my final topics. This Friday we will be having a Dinosaur Night hosted my Sharon’s committee with a special message from Chris Lee.

Sorry that I’m sending this out so late, things have been kind of hectic this week. But that is all over with today so things are looking up. Speaking of Up that is the theme for tomorrow’s SRHI Fellowship! That’s right! Up, the film that teaches you that you need to get high to escape life’s problems…altitude wise, you know high as in altitude, because i believe i can fly! I believe i can touch the sky! But anyways, come on down for that and for Pastor Tim’s message who was called to go above and beyond the call of duty, here he is “No Ordinary Man”….JESUS. So yes bring your copy of the Story if you have it and I will see you all tomorrow.

Wow this week has been pretty cold. Maybe not as chill as Andrew and Co’s snow serpent, but still I hope you all stay warm this week. Anyway what is up with the weather this week? This week has been nothing, but clouds and cold. I blame it on the groundhog. We’ll since we will be in 6 more weeks of winter, we will be learning “How to Face The Dark side”, with your host Darth, I mean Pastor Tim. And if you couldn’t tell we are having a Star Wars night this Friday. Yay. So grab your lightsabers and I look forward to seeing you all there. Live Long and prosper.

Who Stole the Cookies

Dear JAM students, we need your help–a heinous crime has been committed in our library: Someone stole the cookies right under our nose! When Mrs. Bookworm, the librarian, opened the fundraising cookie cupboard this morning she was shocked. The cupboard, where the fundraising cookies had been kept, was empty. Lucky for us, Master Sherlock Holmes is here to investigate. We have no doubt that the perpetrator will be caught. The list of suspects are:

Alice (In Wonderland)	Cinderella
Snow White	Peter Pan
Little Red Riding Hood	Dorothy
Goldilocks	Aladdin

However, Master Holmes can’t solve this crime by himself. Come join us for a night of fun and mystery on Friday, February 10th, at 7:30 PM. Dinner will be provided. Please RSVP with Micaela Lum to sign up for a character.

Hello!

Wasn’t today really tiring? All I wanted to do was stay in bed, but then my dad came knocking at my door threatening to leave me behind at home and miss the first day of school. I must admit… it was a tempting offer. But alas, when i tired to send this email out this morning at the school library my brain must still be on vacation mode, because I could not think of anything to say. Sigh…now we have to start waking up early and start doing homework again. Why winter break?! Why must you go so soon? Anyway, this is going to be a very exciting year in SRHI. Already I cannot wait for our next Youth Retreat on Feb 18-20 and the new sweatshirts. I will tell you more about those events in due time. Don’t let the suspense kill you.

Speaking of suspense, how many of you saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol? If you didn’t it was a pretty good movie, but for those who have I hope you took good notes, because this Friday we will be having a Secret Agent Themed Night with a message from Pastor Tim about Spiritual Warfare.
